Hello! My name is Leah Betts, and I am proud to serve as a school counselor at Oxford Elementary School, working with students from Pre-K through fourth grade. I am passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a positive and supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged.
As a school counselor, I enjoy building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff. Supporting students as they develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and strong character is one of the most rewarding parts of my role. I believe every student has unique strengths, and I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our children, Adalyn, Cannon, and Iva. Family is very important to me, and I enjoy making memories together through traveling, reading, and everyday adventures.
Education:
I earned a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education with a focus in History from Jacksonville State University. I later earned a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. These experiences have prepared me to support students both academically and emotionally as they navigate their educational journey.
I look forward to partnering with families and helping our students succeed both in and out of the classroom!
